At KindMind Pediatric Evaluations, we believe families deserve access to high-quality psychological evaluations and individualized support without unnecessary financial stress.
We know pursuing an evaluation is an important decision, and we're committed to transparency, flexibility, and sensitivity to each family's circumstances.
No two children are exactly alike, and their evaluations shouldn't be either!
We tailor evaluations to each child's unique strengths, needs, and presenting concerns. Some families may benefit from comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, while others may need more focused testing, diagnostic clarification, or updated assessments.
We'll take the time to understand your concerns, explain the recommended evaluation, and provide clear pricing before moving forward.
We recognize that the cost of psychological testing can be a significant barrier for many families, and we don't believe finances should automatically prevent families from seeking answers.
KindMind offers flexible, income-based pricing for qualifying families, along with different assessment options based on individual clinical needs.
We encourage families to reach out and discuss their options rather than assuming an evaluation is financially out of reach.
We're excited to share that KindMind Pediatric Evaluations is working toward accepting insurance in 2027!
Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) and Aetna will be our first planned insurance partners as we expand our services and work to make comprehensive psychological evaluations more accessible to families throughout North Carolina.
While we currently operate as a private-pay practice, we look forward to offering families additional payment options and reducing the financial barriers associated with psychological testing.
We anticipate insurance acceptance in 2027, depending on successful credentialing and contracting. Coverage will vary by plan, eligibility, and benefits.
KindMind proudly accepts North Carolina ESA+ funds through ClassWallet for eligible services.
Families participating in the ESA+ program may use their available funds for qualifying psychological evaluations and related services.
If your family participates in ESA+, we're happy to discuss your options and help determine whether your requested services are eligible.
Until we finalize our insurance partnerships, KindMind continues to operate as a private-pay practice. We do not currently bill insurance directly. However, we can provide appropriate documentation or superbills upon request for families who wish to explore possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement isn't guaranteed and depends on your insurance plan's coverage, benefits, and requirements.
All evaluation fees and payment expectations are discussed before services begin, so families know what to expect.
You don't need to know exactly what type of evaluation your child needs, how much testing may be involved, or what your financial options are before reaching out.
We're happy to answer your questions, listen to your concerns, discuss payment options, and help you determine the best next steps for your family.
At KindMind, we help families find answers, understand their child's needs, and move forward feeling informed and supported.
Because getting answers should feel like the beginning of support, not another obstacle to overcome.
